hrough the centuries it has been renowned for its Roman ruins, the
glorious 12th Century Cathedral, its Romanesque sculptures, its extraordinary
Rolin Museum and its history. The old City sits forever on a sloping hillside
with its crooked streets and Medieval charm. |

"sports inclined", or those just seeking a respite from shopping,
museums, and/or art galleries, there is more to offer :

Just a short ten (10) minute walk, or two minute drive, from
the hotel St. Louis et de la Poste is a lovely lake, beautifully landscaped
with walking paths, etc., all of which are located in a most picturesque sylvan
setting. "At this smaller lake, and within the town of Autun, are a
multiplicity of sporting/interest items, such as :
| Golfing, wherein all equipment can be rented, such as shoes,
clubs, etc., and specific tee off time's can be established in advance. |

Walking paths with pleasant resting benches, around the
perimeter of the lake

Tennis courts, both clay and asphalt (hard surface), for a
small fee.

Sailing, with small boat (1 - 4 persons) rentals at minimal prices |

activities or, if you prefer to establish your own schedule, they will furnish
you with the information (tel nrs, etc) to establish your own contacts, and at
times most convenient for you.
Additionally, our master chef can prepare a box lunch for you to experience a
delightful "pic nique" along the shores of this most picturesque lake
